At Eastern, we offer bursary options that help to cover the costs of your education. In applying for one of the bursaries below, you can alleviate some of the financial weight in the decision to pursue your dream career!

Our Education Consultants are available to support you by discussing your eligibility as well as help with your application. Eastern College awards these bursaries to students in the community who have accepted their offer of admission to the diploma program of their choice.

Retail Bursary

Several retail companies across Canada have been announcing cuts to jobs in the last few years. Eastern College would like to provide its support to displaced retail workers by offering a $1500 bursary towards an Eastern College diploma program.

Project Hero Bursary

Eastern College is among many other Canadian colleges and universities that have joined Project Hero. This initiative is co-funded by retired General Rick Hillier and Honorary Lt. Col. Kevin Reed, to provide support to the sons and daughters of Canadian military that were killed while serving in an active mission. Eastern College is proud to participate in Project Hero by providing eligible dependents with award funding for up to $10,000 towards the cost of their first year of tuition fees.

Refugee Bursary

Eastern College recognizes the need for support among refugees arriving in Canada, and is stepping up to provide assistance to those who are considering post-secondary education. By offering a bursary that can be used towards a full-time diploma program at any of our four campuses across Atlantic Canada, we are helping to create a platform for refugees to rebuild their lives. A total of 5 bursaries will be available.

CBI Home Health Bursary

CBI Home Health is offering a $2000 bursary to students in the Continuing Care Assistant program, with a return for service. Currently only available to students in Nova Scotia. Click here for an overview of the program.
