The Police Foundation diploma program provides the opportunity for students to pursue a 4-week field placement for hands-on experience.

Program Details
Do you want to pursue a career in policing? Did you know that the policing community will experience the largest recruitment effort over the next few years because of retirement trends and an increase in the number of positions to be filled? If you want to become part of the legal field, then the Police Foundations program will help you launch your new career in the industry.
Students will take a diverse set of courses to prepare for the policing related work. You will learn how to interview and interrogate, understand courtroom procedures and testimonies, recognize police powers and authority, and implement fitness into your daily lifestyle. Combine practical, theoretical and substantive knowledge in a way that is relevant to police-related work settings.
Students enrolled in the program receive:
- Firearms safety training;
- PR/First Aid training;
- Instructors with police experience.

Admission Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent. For those without high school completion, please refer to the Program Overview at the top of this page or speak to your Education Consultant.
- Clear code of conduct.
- Two letters of reference attesting to the applicant’s moral character, integrity and trustworthiness.
