CMTCA Accreditation
The Massage Therapy Program at triOS has been granted Preliminary Accreditation, the first step in the CMTCA accreditation process. Following a site visit to verify compliance with the standards, CMTCA will issue a final accreditation decision. The Preliminary Accreditation from the CMTCA is a reflection of the quality of our Massage Therapy program and is granted based on evaluations of several aspects of the program including Curriculum Content, Faculty and Learning, Student Support, Leadership and Administration, Human Resources, Resources and Infrastructure, and Quality Improvement. Preliminary accreditation has currently been granted to our Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John campuses.

Are you interested in helping and treating others who may suffer from acute and chronic pain? Whether you’re helping to reduce stress or providing relief from muscle conditions, the Massage Therapy program at Eastern College is an ideal fit if you’re interested in promoting health and wellness.
Students learn the technical massage techniques and skills required for this career and gain knowledge on client relations and business best practices to secure a full-time job in Massage Therapy.
Students enrolled in the program receive:
- Through Eastern’s partnership with Massage Addict, a Canadian-owned and operated chain of massage therapy clinics, we offer a scholarship program that awards $1000 Scholarship to one Massage Therapy student per campus per year. Click here to learn more.
- Education in a program recognized by the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS), the Association of New Brunswick Massage Therapists (ANBMT), the New Brunswick Massotherapy Association (NBMA), and the Newfoundland and Labrador Massage Therapist Association (NLMTA).
- 440 clinical hours for hands-on training.

Admission Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent. For those without high school completion, please refer to the Program Overview at the top of this page or speak to your Education Consultant.
- Proof of medical examination and immunization.
- Clear Code of Conduct.
- Eastern College pre-Science Course, or it’s equivalent (Grade 11 or 12 Biology, or first-year university Kinesiology course)
- Proof of experiencing a full body massage, either from the Eastern Massage Therapy Clinic or at an outside clinic from a Registered Massage Therapist (New Brunswick) or a member of the Massage Therapist Association of Nova Scotia.
